Prayer Requests

What is Prayer?

"But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you and pray to your father secretly. Then your father who knows all secrets will reward you." Matthew 6:6 (NLT)

Prayer is communicating with God, speaking to him as to a friend, listening to his voice, by being still. (psalm 46:10) Be still and know that I am God. It requires us to lean on his strength and wait on him.
Everyone who asks in faith receives, but we must also believee that God will answer our prayers, he loves and cares for his children and wants to see us happy.
If you have facing difficulties today, health problems, financial problems, emotional problems, hand it over to God.
Find a daily quiet time in the day that is best for you to pray, listen to god( don't just tell him what you need) pray for others and meditate on his words through the bible.

Why should I pray for others?
Jesus tell us to pray for others, All can pray. Intercession is a powerful way to pray.
Ephesians 6:18 tells us to pray at all times in the spirit with all pray and supplication.

And remember, always be joyful, keep on praying, no matter what happens, always be Thankful.
1 Thessalonians 16-18 (NLT)

Steps to Prayer

1. Find a comfortable, quiet place where you wont be interrupted. Read the bible, You could try the 52 week bible reading plan( this is featured on the bible study resources page)and read through the gospels.
Meditate on what you have read.
2. Close your eyes, give thanks for four things, move away from self and move toward God.
3. Ask God to bless and help four other people who you believe may need God's help today. Move away from self centredness and move toward others.
4. Ask God to forgive your sins and mistakes as you confess them to him. Ask God to give you the strength to forgive others.
5. Ask God for insight as to how you can help the needs of one person, and whom you can share Gods love with.
6. Ask for insight into your own personal problems, and what Gods wants to do in your life.
7. Ask for help in achieving your personal goals.
8. Ask God to tell you what you need to do in order to 'seek first his kingdom'.
9. Listen for what God may be saying to you.
10. Close with the Lords prayer and your own personal prayer.
